The Tohatsu MFS 5 D is the best-selling of the three small 123 cc models – and for good reason: it weighs practically the same as the MFS 4 (around 26 kg) but, with 5 hp, offers noticeably more reserve against current and load. The large single-cylinder four-stroke runs smooth and economical and is easy for one person to carry and mount.
Depending on the version you run with an integrated tank (1.3 L, switchable via dual-fuel to an external 12/25 L tank) or directly with a separate 12-litre tank for more range. Full forward-neutral-reverse shifting with a front shift lever, 360° swivel, 6-position trim and easy-start with decompression. Choose Short (S) for most boats, Long (L) for higher transoms.
